Every time I came to a fork in the road, God was there, hoping I would choose the narrow path that leads to His Son, Jesus. And yet, time after time, I chose the wide road because it was the easiest or what everyone else was doing. I know it must have saddened God to see me walk that away. It breaks His heart when we turn away from Him.

You may not realize this, but God loves us more than we could ever love anything on this earth. Think of the one person you love most, then multiply that love by a thousand—that’s just a glimpse of how much God loves you. John 3:16 begins with, “For God so loved the world.” I want you to notice that little word, “so.” God “so” loved—it means a love beyond measure, far greater than we can imagine. For such a small word, it carries a giant meaning, yet so many people read right past it.

Take it from me: it’s easy to lose your faith during hard times. I know because I’ve been through many of them. And the truth is, the little faith I did have back then wasn’t strong enough to make me seek God in those seasons. I didn’t have the relationship with Jesus that I have today. Now, I can lean on Him and His promises, like Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
